Junior PHP Developer

As a Junior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites and web applications using PHP, specifically with WordPress and Laravel frameworks. Your main duties will include:

  1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and stakeholders, to define project scope and objectives, and ensure that all team members are aligned and working towards the same goals.
  2. Developing and maintaining the back-end of WordPress and Laravel-based websites and web applications using PHP, MySQL, and other related technologies.
  3. Implementing front-end features and functionalities using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  4. Collaborating with the design and development teams to ensure that the final product meets the client’s needs, is visually appealing, and is easy to use.
  5. Continuously monitoring project performance, identifying and addressing any issues, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  6. Continuously monitoring the performance of the website or web application and recommend any improvements needed to keep the website or web application running at optimal performance
  7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest PHP development technologies and trends and incorporating them into projects as appropriate.
  8. Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and industry standards.
  9. Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure that the final product meets the client’s requirements and is free of errors.
  10. Documenting and maintaining the codebase and ensuring that all code is properly commented on and easy to understand.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PHP development and a strong understanding of WordPress and Laravel frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment are a must. Basic knowledge of front-end development and experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also required. Additionally, experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus. The Junior PHP Developer will be expected to work under the guidance and mentorship of senior developers and will have ample opportunities to learn and grow their skillset.
